Orlando-Detroit: But Who Will Get 96?

It seems we have a trend going on the opening day of the NBA Playoffs. And it is ... 96-91 games! Both the Raps and Bulls won by the same score. I'm sure the Magic are hoping that this is indeed a trend, as even a five-point loss probably sounds pretty good right now.

Anyway, if another 96-91 game is on the way, I expect the Pistons to be the team with the big 9-6.

Toward the end of the game, it really looked like it might finish 96-91. That would have been pretty amazing.

I blame Mike Tirico. You are right; that game was headed for 96-91, but my man MT started talking about to much, therefore jinxing it and preventing it from happening. Then again, maybe I am just starting to go a little crazy from the 15 hours of hoops in a 36-hour stretch.
