NBA Playoffs: Jack's Picks

Blog contributor and NBA expert Jack Wang is in Vegas right now, where he is taking the casinos for all they are worth and avoiding hangovers thanks to the oxygen rich air. You will be pleased to know that his sense of duty triumphs over all, as he took a break from the action to call in his playoff picks. We will be provding far more detailed discussions and picks as the postseason goes on, but it is always fun to get the big picture predictions on record at the outset.

Anyway, here are Jack's picks.

Eastern Conference

(1) Detroit over (8) Orlando in 4
(4) Miami over (5) Chicago in 7
(3) Toronto over (6) New Jersey in 6
(2) Cleveland over (7) Washington in 5

In the second round he has:

Detroit over Miami in 6
Ceveland over Toronto in 7

Then:
Detroit over Cleveland in 7

Western Conference

(1) Dallas over (8) Golden State in 6
(5) Houston over (4) Utah in 6
(3) San Antonio over (6) Denver in 5
(2) Phoenix over (7) L.A. Lakers in 5

In the second round:

Dallas over Houston in 7
Phoenix over San Antonio in 7

Then:
Phoenix over Dallas in 7

For his world champ, he's got:

Phoenix over Detroit in 7

As I detailed earlier this year, I really hope he's right.

That's a whole lot of 7-game series, Jack. I hope you are right, because it would make for a pretty rad playoff season.
